Ernie Scheer: Obituary, September 18, 2004

SCHEER- On Wednesday, September 15, 2004, Ernie Scheer, Qu'Appelle, Sask., age 71 years.
The funeral mass will be celebrated in the immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Qu'Appelle, Sask., on Tuesday September 21, 2004 at 2:00p.m. by Fr. Richard Jasiak MSF with internment of cremated remains in Qu'Appelle Cemetary.

Ernie was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Scheer, one sister, Betty Peterman, one sister in law, Beatrice Scheer, two brothers in law, Edward Shearer and Leonard Peterman. Ernie is survived by two sons; Kevin (Cindy) Scheer and their son Mitchell; Dale (Jewel) Scheer and their family Jordan and Jesse all of Qu'Appelle, one brother, Henry Scheer, Regina, one sister, Margaret Shearer, Saskatoon and his nieces, and nephews and special companion "Katie" the cat.

Ernie had a 27 year career with the Wascana Centre Authority and he made many contributions to the development and beautification of the park one of may was the artistic creations of the sand castings at the Surveyors Monument.

Ernie's hobbies were painting Saskatchewan Prairie scenes. He enjoyed cooking and loved to entertain company and was a very talented handyman.

In lieu of flowers if friends so desire contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360 2nd Avenue, Regina, Sask. S4R 1A6 may be tokens of remembrance.
