Waterfowl Diplay Ponds
(Unless otherwise indicated, photos by Don of www.WascanaPark.com)

Located near the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts (east side),
the display ponds are open daily during the summer 7:00 a.m. to sunset.
(Victoria Day Weekend to Labour Day Weekend)

A variety of pinioned birds can be seen.

Injured birds are also taken to this protected area to recover.

A display panel assists visitors in identifying and studying the waterfowl. For wheel chair access a key is available at Wascana Place. Phone (306) 522-3661
(Information from a Wascana Centre Authority Pamphlet)

During the summer visitors are welcome to walk around the display ponds to see a variety of waterfowl.

With the aid of the display panel, the birds can be studied at leisure. Injured birds are protected here in addition to the healthy birds that have been wing-clipped. In late fall, these birds are moved into the Waterfowl Winterhouse located across the lake east of Wascana Hill

A public viewing area is included in the overwintering structure.
